Getting started
Open SA Stock Screener. The US screener has the same controls.
- Read the stamp. Top right, Data as of and a date. That is the last nightly run; nothing on the page is more recent than it.
- Look at the table before touching anything. With no filter selected it is the Superlist: every company in the universe, ranked by how many of the ten filters it passes. The Filters passed column shows an icon per filter passed and a count like 6/10.
- Tap one filter in the Filter Bank. The table drops to the companies that pass it, ranked by how strongly. Hover a filter for its rule.
- Tap a row. It expands into a price chart (1Y, 3Y, 5Y), a snapshot of ten fundamentals, and a card per filter marked Pass or Misswith the company's own number beside the threshold.
- Combine filters (Pro). Tap a second filter and the table shows only companies passing both. The search box finds any company in the universe by name or ticker.
The Score column
Zero to 100. With no filter selected it is the average strength across the filters the company passes; with filters selected, the average across the selected filters only. A company can pass a filter narrowly or by a wide margin, and the score carries that. It turns green at 60.
Free uses one filter at a time and shows the top three rows, with the rest of the list blurred. Pro and Elite combine any of the ten, search, and see the whole universe.
