How the screens work, how to read what they produce, and the research underneath. Everything here applies to every subscriber equally.

TradeIntel runs ten fixed screens nightly across the JSE and the US, reads three index markets (the JSE Top 40, the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq 100) with rule-based models, keeps a macro backdrop of Fear and Greed dials, a sector board and an eleven-indicator US recession count, and tracks disclosed US congressional trades. Every reading is a rule applied to public data. Every subscriber on a plan sees the same output, and none of it is tailored to anyone.

Three sections

Getting started is for a new account. It walks the app screen by screen in the order worth opening them: the dashboard, the models, a first screen, the economy page, and alerts. No theory, about ten minutes.

Guides is where to go when you are looking at a number and cannot tell whether it matters. One page per part of the app: what it shows, what each figure is counting, how to tell an ordinary reading from an unusual one, and where the plan boundaries fall. Every threshold quoted is the one in the code, so if a guide and the app ever disagree, tell us and the guide is wrong.

Methodology is the research underneath. How a model is built, the models one by one with the literature they draw on, what the backtests covered and what a backtest cannot tell you, the formula behind the sentiment composite and the recession count, where every number comes from and how old it is when you see it, and the gaps, stated rather than hidden. This is the section for a sceptical reader, and it is where the old research page now lives.

How to read it

Front to back, using the Next card at the foot of each page, takes an hour. Or jump to any page from the list on the left. The three section pages each open with a short description of what is on every page under them.

Plans, in one paragraph

The free plan does not expire. Reads arrive a day late and the screens show a limited set of results. Pro removes the delay, opens both screens in full, unlocks the economy and recession detail, the Congress tracker, the watchlist and alerts by email and Telegram. Elite adds the analyst desk, a bull case, a bear case and a verdict on every read, plus priority support. The full comparison, with prices, is under Account, plans and billing.

TradeIntel publishes general information, not financial advice. A screen tells you a share passed a test. It does not tell you the business is sound or the price is right. TradeIntel is not a registered financial services provider and nothing on the platform is tailored to your circumstances.

If a question is not answered here, the Support button at the bottom of the app sidebar reaches us with your account attached, and so does support@tradeintel.co.za.

Past performance does not guarantee future results. Trading and investing involve significant risk of loss. Nothing on this page is financial advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any financial product. Everything on the platform is identical for every subscriber on a plan and is never tailored to an individual.
