When is the next interest rate decision in South Africa?
Thursday 19 November 2026. The Reserve Bank's Monetary Policy Committee announces at 15:00 SAST, and a change usually takes effect the next day. The prime rate page has the current rates and every change since 2002.
What time are US inflation and jobs figures released in South Africa?
At 14:30 SAST from mid-March to early November and at 15:30 SAST for the rest of the year, because the US moves its clocks and South Africa does not. CPI, payrolls, GDP, PCE, retail sales and the weekly jobless claims all come out at 08:30 New York time. Fed decisions come at 14:00 New York time, which is 20:00 or 21:00 SAST.

From the agencies that publish them: the South African Reserve Bank and Statistics South Africa, the Federal Reserve, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Bureau of Economic Analysis and the Census Bureau (read through FRED), the European Central Bank and Eurostat. The calendar checks each source every minute from the scheduled time until the new figure appears.
